October DIY and business book club 2016

October DIY and business book club from Dear Handmade Life

I adore tea.  I love it in the morning, I love it in the afternoon, I love it at night.  It’s the bees knees.  I used to be in the  “tea only” club, but then I had kids and had to move onto the harder stuff and began drinking coffee in the morning, just so that I could survive the day.  I love most everything about tea.  I’m *that* person that went and traveled to Victoria just so that I could see what “High Tea” was all about.  And when my girls were old enough to have birthday parties, you can bet they both had a full on dress up tea party themed birthdays as soon as I could trust them with those highly shattering tea cups.   I’ve got bags and bags of loose leaf tea in my cupboard, and not enough friends to invite over to drink it with me.  Some people call it a “problem” but I call it a “challenge”.  Of course when I saw this months books club picks I immediately picked up the How to Make Tea books and spent some serious time flipping through.  I hope you enjoy this months picks…with a cup of tea….of course.

Our picks this month are:

  1. Paper + Craft
  2. How to Make Tea
  3. Chalk on the Wild Side
  4. The Accidental Creative

  1. My favorite tea is “you’re welcome” by T-we. It’s a delicious Chinese tea (the kind has escaped me at the moment) with oranges and ginger root. The ginger gives it a delicious “spicy” taste to it. Unfortunatly, I’m not sure if they still make it because it isn’t currently up on T-we’s store envy…

  2. Jasmine green tea, matcha and chai are my favorites. When I want a special treat, I’ll make a latte with Smith Tea #33 Masala Chai.
