DIY Cocktails: The Smoked Strawberry Owl
Day Owl Rose with tequila and a homemade strawberry simple syrup? YES, PLEASE! We paired this bright, citrusy, and crisp Day Owl Rosé with some of our favorite cocktail ingredients to make this delicious and refreshing smoked owl rosé cocktail!

SMOKED OWL ROSÉ COCKTAIL
WHAT TO GET:
-1.5 ounces of tequila
-1/2 an ounce of mezcal
-3/4 of an ounce of strawberry simple syrup (1 cup of water, 1 cup of baker’s sugar, 2 cups of fresh quartered strawberries)
-the juice from half of a lime and one lime slice
-1/4 of an ounce of Day Owl Rosé
WHAT TO DO:
1. Make your strawberry simple syrup by combining 1 cup of water, 1 cup of baker’s sugar, 2 cups of fresh strawberries in a medium saucepan. Stir to dissolve sugar and bring to a boil then simmer for 20 minutes, let cool completely and pour through a strainer. Store remaining simple syrup in the fridge in an airtight container for up to a month.
2. Fill a shaker with ice, add all the ingredients except the rosé and shake vigorously.
3. Fill a tall glass or pint glass with ice, pour cocktail over the ice into the glass, top with 1/4 of an ounce of Day Owl Rosé and a slice of lime.
