DIY Cocktails: The Spring Fling Rosé
We were thrilled to have Day Owl Rosé and Harken Wines as a sponsor for our most recent Craftcation Conference! Their wine offerings were delicious and the perfect addition to our presenter gift bags as well as our Iron Craft Competition and Happy Hour!

I’ve remained inspired by all of the crafting and creativity that surrounded me at Craftcation this year! Keeping with our theme of Make All the Things, I decided to let my creativity grow in the kitchen. I began by crafting cocktails with this delicious rosé from Day Owl and before I knew it, I had come up with this delicious cocktail perfect for patio drinking season.
SPRING FLING ROSÉ COCKTAIL
WHAT TO GET:
-2 ounces of vodka
-1/2 of an ounce of thyme simple syrup (1 cup of water, 1 cup of baker’s sugar, 1/2 a cup of fresh thyme)
-1/2 of an ounces of creme de violette
-the juice from half of a lemon and one thin lemon slice
-1/4 of an ounce of Day Owl Rosé
WHAT TO DO:
1. Make your thyme simple syrup by combining 1 cup of water, 1 cup of baker’s sugar, 1/2 a cup of fresh thyme in a medium saucepan. Stir to dissolve sugar and bring to a boil then simmer for 20 minutes, let cool completely and pour through a strainer. Store remaining simple syrup in the fridge in an airtight container for up to a month.
2. Fill a shaker with ice, add all the ingredients except the rosé and shake vigorously.
3. Pour into a chilled coupe or martini glass and top with 1/4 of an ounce of Day Owl Rosé, a sprig of thyme and a thin lemon slice.
