Podcast Episode 72: Gaining Brand Clarity with Alisha Robertson

Welcome back from our extended summer break. While we were away we finished our spring event season for our Patchwork Show and our annual Craftcation: Business & Makers Conference. We’re also going through some changes here at Dear Handmade Life which is why the break was a bit longer than we anticipated. Delilah, my business partner of ten years here at Dear Handmade Life has stepped back to focus on her other business Alta Baja Market which is a market and deli celebrating the flavors and makers above and below the US-MX border. If you’re a regular listener, you can probably guess that this transition has been emotional – not only did Delilah and I run a business together for 10 years but we are also related (she’s the aunt and I’m the niece) so we have literally known each other our entire lives. Although it’s been a few months since this transition began, I’m still quite emotional and although i’m usually very open on our podcast, I’m not quite and may never be ready to share about it but I will say that i’m also excited for these new chapters in both of our lives. Delilah’s other business is hugely successful and has become an amazing center for the local community in Santa Ana. If you’re missing Delilah like I am, you can visit her at Alta Baja Market in the 4th Street Market in downtown Santa Ana. As for me, craft, business and self growth have always been my passions so I’m excited to continue to do the work Delilah and I did together here at Dear Handmade Life along with our current and growing team of creative women who inspire me daily.
