  1. Initially business slowed down when the pandemic hit. I’m a helper at heart so I learned how to sew masks, the net proceeds are being donated to Dine11.org, they are providing fresh meals to frontline workers at LA hospitals and families in need through local restaurants. It’s keeping me sane to help others during this time.

  2. I start the day with a good stretch, a good cup of coffee and my “get psyched mix” and it wakes up my brain and sets the day up.

  3. Oh man!! My mornings start with coffee and cuddles! My boys (ages 7 & 11) along with my 2 furball dogs all climb in my bed and we cuddle for a bit before we start the day. This is probably the most consistent routine we’ve had since COVID19 started. Somehow our morning dose of cuddles keeps us on track for the day.

  4. I’ve very recently discovered Paper & Spark – her spreadsheets are helping me to clean up the mess I have been working through for years on account of the black hole of using expensive accounting software. I’m excited to move onto the next steps of growing my business once I’m all caught up. I absolutely can’t wait! Thank you so very much, Paper & Spark. I would love to receive further resources to help me in the process!

  5. I start the day with a two mile walk with my bear, Brady. Next, I eat a healthy AF breakfast. By 10am I HAVE to be in the “office” working, whatever that looks like for that day. I listen to awesome motivating podcasts like Dear Handmade Life, dip into my Brick House Branding class archives for some branding refreshers, or jam out to some vintage tunes on Spotify. I give myself an hour long break to decompress, drink some tea, sun in the backyard, or nap. I am NOT allowed to work through lunch. I try to be both a great boss AND a great employee to myself.

Something that has helped me grow most of all is my Skillshare subscription. I have learned how to blog, sew, make merch, take moody food pictures, and write a press release all while in quarantine. I feel leaps and bounds from where I was before all this started, and I’m grateful for this time that the universe gave to me.

Thank you for all you do!
