127 YARD SALE DAY 3: ALBANY—CROSSVILLE, TN
We had way too much fun the night before day three on the 127 with our new friends Tony and Bobby. I noticed that they left early in the AM so we didn’t get to say goodbye but they did leave us a little present of flowers on our car—SO SWEET!!!
Off we went to Tennessee hitting one of our new favorite places on the way, Possum Trot Variety were Doris cooked us up some eggs and hash browns. Since we were last in, Doris added several more seats and a larger menu—happy to see her business is expanding!
On the way to Tennessee we didn’t make many purchases but once we got to one of our favorite stops, Sergeant Alvin C. York Memorial Grist Mill, I scored an old canning pot (I was told it was from the 1930’s) and another Pyrex dish (both of which were great deals). We stopped just one more time and rushed to the larger Crossville stops because we were meeting friends from Louisville who wanted to do part of the sale with us!
We managed to do two large markets with them before heading over to Cancun Mexican Restaurant in Crossville where we had gigantic margaritas and some pretty spicy salsa. (PLUS: the people that work there now remember us from previous trips! LOL)
FINDS OF THE DAY: old canning post, turn of the century sun glass champagne glasses, lots of pyrex!
