Patchwork Show Long Beach Spring 2023 – RECAP

The third stop of the spring Patchwork Show season is Long Beach, CA! We have loved Long Beach for many many years and are always inspired by the realness of the Long Beach community. It feels inclusive, colorful, quirky (in the best way), both grounded and expansive, and just downright fun! We’ve been hosting local makers in this beautiful spot at the Marina for over a decade. It’s two days out of the year where we can spend the day eating yummy food, watching folks paddle, boat, and play in the sea around us, while we shop, laugh, make cool stuff, and hopefully make a new friend or two. Our Long Beach show is the largest of our tour spots, welcoming over 200 vendors and a bike valet for your convenience. We’re proud to offer ample disabled parking inside the show at this location. Because this is our largest show with the most vendors and guests we also get very excited to see all our doggie friends, too!

This season, guests lounged at tables in the slightly overcast day enjoying their snacks and lunch from our food trucks: Carmen’s Coffee, Italian Burger & Grill, Cousin’s Maine Lobster, Scooter’s Italian Ice, and Thai-Mex Cocina. Many ate lunch or took a break from shopping to watch the band, The Odd Birds play in the soft breeze of the afternoon. Our Long Beach show has the most activities and DIY stations and this season we had a couple of stand out stations that were inspiring kids and grown-up kids alike to make something fun! We had so much fun in Long Beach this past weekend, we can hardly believe we get to do it all over again this weekend at Jack London Square in Oakland, CA! Come say hello! Make something cool! Support a local maker! Maybe even make a new friend! See you at the next stop!
