Gabriella Layne-Avery is a social media marketing OG, content strategist & creative director. With nearly a decade of social media experience and a background in journalism and PR, sheâs obsessed with helping visionary CEOs work smarter, not harder to show up & strut on social media with strategy, organization and systems.
Kickstarting her career as a contributing editor for fashion and lifestyle magazines, Gabriella has a penchant for making the complex, often overwhelming nuances of social media feel simple and seamless – a philosophy sheâs coined as âsustainable social media.â Credit it to her days of planning quarterly editorial calendars during her journalism era.Â
She also has a knack for keeping a pulse on whatâs up and whatâs next to create culturally relevant, timely content that stops the scroll on social media for her clients. Sheâs used these magic powers to lead the content strategies of leading online communities including PR Girl Manifesto, Epic Fab Girl, and Black Bride Magazine.Â
Gabriella is Brooklyn bred and currently living in Long Beach with her wife (whose name is ALSO Gabby – can’t make this stuff up!) and her pup Louie. When she isnât serving clients for her creative studio Strut Communications or guest writing for PLANOLY, you can find her reading a good book, bingeing a new series, or taking (very) long walks around her shoreline city.
Mallory Whitfield is the founder of the Badass Creatives Marketing Accelerator and author of the books âHow to Make Money at Craft Shows: Art Market and Craft Fair Tips & Tricksâ and âWe Are the Weird Ones: Embrace Your Weird for a Kinder, More Inclusive WorldâŁ.â

As an Adjunct Professor for Tulane Universityâs School of Professional Advancement, she taught and developed classes on digital marketing. By day, she currently works as Senior Digital Strategist for ADT Solar. Her favorite costume moments include dressing as Cher, David Bowie, and a cassowary, the worldâs deadliest bird.

A self proclaimed ADD crafter, Jennifer Perkins is a Jill of several different crafty trades. One minute she is making candles from crayons the next she is collaging with a 70âs Sears catalog. The constant theme through those creative endeavors is her love of kitsch, color and all things vintage.Â
Jennifer started her creative career as a jewelry designer but has worn many hats through the years including craft book author, television host, brand ambassador and craft magazine editor. She has done ad campaigns for Michaels, been a guest on the Rachael Ray show multiple times and had her work featured in magazines ranging Better Homes and Gardens to Elle.
Jennifer lives in Austin, TX with her two kiddlets, husband and zoo of 7 pets. If sheâs not crafting sheâs at the thrift store.
