Podcast 132: How to Stand Out in a Crowded Market with Lauren Keplinger

Lauren Keplinger
“I also think it’s okay to say I don’t want to take that on and I’m okay with where my business is right now."

Hard work = success, right?

Nope, smart work = success.

It’s totally possible to work less and make more while doing what you love. This is what happens when your business works for you rather than you working for your business. And that’s exactly what our podcast guest today Lauren Keplinger did.

Small business owner, Etsy shop consultant, and mom of four, Lauren started her business and it quickly became something that as she put it took “over my whole family life – I worked until the wee hours of the morning while my children slept, my husband watching the kids alone every weekend while I sewed, and I created a monster that consumed all of my time.”

Then, she stepped back and rebuilt her business in a way that increased profit while decreasing the time she worked. Sounds like a dream right?

Then listen in as she shares how she leveled up her business and stands out in a crowded market. Lauren and I talk about analyzing and streamlining your business to increase profits and decrease your working hours, outsourcing, how to stand out in crowded market, mistakes she made early on, shifting your mindset, her advice for my mom guilt and more.
