Podcast episode 16: Preparing for big: agents, reps and selling yourself with Gustavo Arellano
You are your work and selling yourself is an important thing to do–but is that in your personality? Maybe you need to have someone do the selling or you? This week on the Dear Handmade Life podcast we’re drinking Nicole’s Sweet Hot Mezz cocktail and talking to Gustavo Arellano (aka: Delilah’s husband and Nicole’s Uncle) and author/editor/teacher and now consulting producer about about what you need to sell yourself and his experiences with agents. Do you need them, how do you get one and are you your best rep?
Gustavo Arellano is editor of OC Weekly, author of the syndicated column ¡Ask a Mexican!, and the book Taco USA: How Mexican Food Conquered America. His commentaries appear regularly on NPR, and he’s a consulting producer for the upcoming FOX animated show, Bordertown. More importantly, he’s the official UHaul driver and trashman for Craftcation Conference and Patchwork Show.
