Podcast episode 3: Creating a capsule wardrobe that highlights your style + mimosas three ways with Erin Barrow
Delilah and Nicole share their favorite mimosa recipes and talk to stylist and fashion expert Erin Barrow about the capsule wardrobe trend and how to create one of your own.
The capsule wardrobe is all about having fewer pieces of clothing and better outfits. Instead of keeping clothes you don’t wear (and shouldn’t!) or buying cheap pieces that fit with trends, the capsule wardrobe chooses essential pieces that can be mixed and worn multiple times to achieve a unique, polished look.
It’s the perfect medium for the busy professional who wants to look good without spending five years staring at the closet deciding what to wear.
Erin not only gives tips on how to create your own capsule wardrobe but also talks about clothing trends for 2015. Delilah and Nicole join Erin and reveal their favorite online shopping secrets.
Here are the links to some of the online shopping spots Erin mentioned: Asos, Madewell, Zappos, Uniqlo, Zara and Reformation. Some of Delilah and Nicole’s favorite shops and designers: Rebe, Field Day Wearables, Effie’s Heart and Modcloth.

- Champagne
- Juice of your choice: Some of the juices that I like to serve include: pineapple, pomegranate, a mixture of pineapple and pomegranate, carrot + apple juice, blood orange juice, lemonade, and my ultimate favorite… passionfruit!
- Pick a selection of 3-4 juices or mix your own custom blends and serve in cute pitchers next to a bucket of cold bubbly.
I am WAY into the concept of a capsule wardrobe. I will pass on the boxy crop top, but WILL invest in a couple fancy t-shirts.
Ha Ha Caitlin! I have yet to see someone look good in a crop top.
Loving the podcast! Can’t wait to see the list of the online stores you were talking about in this episode.
Thanks for all of the wonderful info.
