Maker: Blair of A Little Delight

I had two girls, so you can bet that these cool baby hair bows from Blair at A Little Delight would have been a hit in my house.  But to make them even better, I LOVE the fact that I would’ve used them to spruce up my two boy’s Sunday church shirts as well! Multi function, multi use….awesome!!! Meet Blair and check out her art!

Please introduce yourself.

Hi there! My name is Blair and I am the owner & bow maker here at A Little Delight.

I am a momma of 3 little ones, wife to my amazing high school sweet heart, lover of Jesus, tattoos, confetti, coffee, music, craft beer, and mexican food.

I grew up, currently live, and handcraft our bows here in Orange County, CA.

What do you make or do?

When my little girl was a baby, I had a hard time finding hair bows that did not flatten out and lose their shape after a few wears.

A Little Delight started in 2013 in an effort to make hair bows that I wanted to see. So I came up with a durable shape that held it shape, added in super fun modern & stylish prints, and kept things simple. Plus, I loved the idea of a hair bow that could be worn by multiple members of the family. So all of our bows double as a little guy bow tie and a cute accessory for mom. I created a sturdy lined bow that can stand up to teething babies, grabby toddler hands, and washing, while holding their perky shape!

From there we have grown our product line from just our signature fabric bows, to fun sparkly petite clips and no-snag headbands with fun and funky prints that are super stretchy so both mom and baby can share.

Where can we find your creations?

You can find all my bows on my blog  www.ALittleDelight.com  or Etsy www.alittledelight.etsy.com as well as here www.ALDWholesale.com

You can follow me on Instagram: www.Instagram.com/alittledelight or Facebook: www.Facebook.com/alittledelight

When you’re not making things, what do you do?

We definitely keep busier than not, being a family of 5. I personally am never opposed to a nice wine and cheese night. As a family we make it a priority to take weekly hikes in the awesome trails around Orange County and we have great intentional family Sundays (Church, lunch, games, etc). My husband and I love date nights too! We enjoy going to concerts and local breweries (when we can sneak away from our 3 kiddos every once in a while).

Where do you find inspiration?

I have personally been so inspired by all of our customers and their kind words and love towards our little business. We have been so blessed to ship bows all over the world. So they are #1 for inspiring me and keeping ALD pushing forward with fun new designs. As far as the designs go, I find inspiration EVERYWHERE! I am inspired by movies, music, shows, modern design (HGTV anyone?!), and whatever my kiddos are super into (we have lots of pop-culture inspired designs in the shop). We have lots of really amazing customers and retailers that let us know what they’d like to see, and we do our best to make it happen in our shop.

What’s on the horizon for you and what you do?

I am really excited about our brand-new wholesale/sales rep program! Since we can’t be at all the fun handmade events all the time – on top of our current wholesale program for our brick-and-morter retailers, we are launching a program for independent brand reps who are passionate about our brand, and looking to get in on the fun with us, and join our family! This is a great opportunity for fellow mommas, who love and support the handmade industry, and want to get in on the handmade market fun, and make some money along the way. We are in the process of building some awesome tools and resources as we roll out the new program, and we are so excited to grow along with our new brand representatives!
