Patchwork Show Santa Rosa Fall 2019
I’ve dreamt of bringing Patchwork Show to Sonoma County for several years and I am so happy to say that this fall season, we finally made it happen! We welcomed over 100 vendors to our venue at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds in Santa Rosa. The show had more over 15 pop-up shops and DIY crafting stations (see the show map below) hosted by our community partners as well as some of our vendors where attendees could get creative and make everything from terrariums to jewelry to apothecary goods and more. The first show in a new town is always nerve wracking but this community did such an amazing job of welcoming us and showing their support for local makers.
A few weeks before the show, the Kincaid Fire threatened our community and many of our vendors were evacuated, lost power and were unable to work. Our first responders did an outstanding job of containing the fire and minimizing loss and damage. It wasn’t until about a week before the show that we received the official A-OK from the Fairgrounds (one of the evacuation centers) that they’d still be able to host Patchwork Show. To help show our gratitude to the first responders (many of whom worked for more 24 hours straight fighting the Kincaid Fire) we donated and collected donations at the show as well as created a giant thank you note that attendees signed.
Thank you to our first responders, vendors, guests, staff, community partners and venue for making our debut in Santa Rosa a success. We can’t wait to see you all in the spring! 🙂
P.S. – Thank you to our amazing event photographer Cecilia Senocak Photography for capturing the show so perfectly.
