Podcast episode 15: How your creative business influences your life with Mark Brickey
This week on the Dear Handmade Life podcast we’re drinking Two Towns BrightCider and talking to our friend, artist, designer, podcaster, entrepreneur and long-time Patchwork Show vendor Mark Brickey about how your creative business influences your life.
Mark is the founder of the podcast Adventures in Design which is about the culture in and around design & illustration and features “graphic design gossip and artistic growing pains through the eyes of Mark and his friends”. He also runs Hero Handmade Goods, a full service design studio specializing in all forms of visual media with a client list that includes national, regional and local accounts with his wife Beth Manos-Brickey of the popular gluten-free food blog Tasty Yummies. We met Mark when he and Beth relocated to Long Beach, Ca from the East Coast and he was a vendor at our modern makers festival Patchwork Show. Mark told me that one of the factors in their decision to head west was the West Coast craft show scene which is proof that what he does for a living truly does influence all aspects of his life.
It’s a little intimidating interviewing a BIG TIME personality and podcaster like Mark but we do our best. Mark is such a pro and we’re so grateful that he joined us.
This week on the Dear Handmade Life podcast we share our one of our favorite pre-made drinks Two Towns Ciderhouse BrightCider.
