POM POM DISCO BALL HEADBAND
Craftcation finally happened! After what felt like a lifetime, we were finally able to gather once again for our four-day business + makers conference. If you don’t know what Craftcation is (you are missing out!) But you can find out more info HERE and HERE is a recap from the one we just had! Every year we have a themed dance party & I never miss an opportunity to dress up! This year’s theme was Roller Disco & the second we decided on that theme, I knew I needed a disco ball headband!
Thank you to Clover for providing us with these awesome Pom Pom makers, they are so fun and easy to use!
supply list:
- Pom Pom Makers- I love this set from Clover
- Yarn in your choice of colors and textures
- Embroidery floss
- Hot Glue gun + glue sticks

- Mini Disco Balls!
- Scissors- These from Clover are great
step one:
Make the pom poms!
HERE is a blog post I wrote on making your own Pom Poms: DIY Pom Pom Earrings
You can also see a great in-depth tutorial on how to use the Pom Pom Makers on the Clover Tool School Section of their website: Tool School: Pom Pom Maker Set.
STEP TWO:
I cut out a rectangle piece of felt to serve as the base for everything I was going to glue down. I eyeballed it based on the size of the headband and the overall size I wanted everything to be, which was pretty big! I then arranged the pom poms and disco balls to get a feel of how I wanted everything to look. Then I just started hot gluing things down one at a time, this takes quite a bit of glue, and patience! I then glued my piece of felt with everything dried and attached to the top of my headband.
I cut out another piece of felt, roughly about the same size, and glued it to the bottom to secure the headband in between. Then I cut all of the excess felt off, and I was done!
STEP THREE:
There are so many variations to be made with this technique, it would also be so fun full of colorful pom poms on its own!
This went SO WELL with the rest of my outfit for the Roller Disco Party!
