The Los Angeles Times food critic Jonathan Gold called one of Carlos’ dishes the best 10 of 2014, and his restaurant isn’t even in Los Angeles. Carlos shares his personal history of his the restaurant legacy he was born into, advice on taking big leaps in your creative business, why running a restaurant is like being the captain of a pirate ship and he doesn’t do anything unless he can do it really well.

Michelada with Sriracha salt

Ingredients
  • -Beer of your choice (we used Pabst Blue Ribbon)
  • -Clamato
  • -A lime
  • -Sriracha salt (you can find the recipe [url href=”https://dearhandmadelife.com/make-sriracha-salt/https://”]here[/url])
Instructions
  1. Run a lime wedge along the rim of your glass and dip the rim in some Sriracha salt.
  2. Fill your glass with ice and beer leaving room for some Clamato.
  3. Garnish with a lime.
