Podcast episode 10: Wheels to bricks with Carlos Salgado
This week on the Dear Handmade Life podcast we share our recipe for a Michelada with Sriracha salt and talk to Carlos Salgado of Taco Maria about his journey from a food truck to a restaurant that is changing the face of Mexican food in Orange County (and beyond). The Los Angeles Times food critic Jonathan Gold called one of Carlos’ dishes the best 10 of 2014, and his restaurant isn’t even in Los Angeles. Carlos shares his personal history of his the restaurant legacy he was born into, advice on taking big leaps in your creative business, why running a restaurant is like being the captain of a pirate ship and he doesn’t do anything unless he can do it really well.
